Over 30 Years of History
Ripon Natural Health Centre is a multi-disciplinary therapy clinic in the market town of Ripon, North Yorkshire and was established in 1983. Originally founded as a centre for Osteopathy, other therapeutic disciplines have since been added. We provide Osteopathy, Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Sports and Remedial Massage and Deep Memory Process Therapy.
What we doThrough providing professional complementary therapies we aim to encourage and promote holistic and informed approaches to health and healing. We also facilitate courses and a Meditation Group which meets approximately once a month. We stock a small range of products in reception, all tried and tested by us: massage oils made to our own recipes using pure essential oils, homeopathic creams, Biosun traditional ear candles, support belts for backs, joints etc., Bancha Green Tea, White Tea and our own range of Chakra Herb Teas. We also stock books by Ann Merivale and Terry Gray.

Osteopath, Acupuncturist, HomeopathMy interest in health and healing was inspired by two people – Dr Chandra Sharma who was my family’s Homeopathic doctor and John Bennett who was a scientist and mystic. They encouraged me to develop a holistic approach to health and to reconnect mind, body and life experience where they have become separated by illness, pain or personal crisis. We have a wonderful capacity to repair and get well and all medicine relies on our ability to self heal and respond to treatment. I try and understand what treatment approach will work best for you and your particular situation and find ways to encourage your creativity and self healing. I have been working as an osteopath since 1979 and in Ripon since 1984. Continuity of care, a human being on the end of a telephone and time to listen and understand in the consulting room have become more important than ever.

OsteopathI graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2012 with a Masters degree in Osteopathy. During my time at Brookes my passion for sport grew and a love of working with athletes developed as a result of my involvement with the MCC’s Oxford Cricketing Centre of Excellence. My bio-mechanical approach to treatment aims to restore function within the body, whether it be to carry out day to day activities pain free or to return to a sport. I am qualified in Kinesiology Taping, a tool which has proven to be beneficial in treating both athletes and non-athletes. As well as working structurally I am also interested in the craniosacral field of Osteopathy and admire its effective yet gentle approach to treatment.

Clinical, Remedial and Sports Massage TherapistI graduated as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist in 2007 from the London School of Sports Massage and since then have been working with a variety of clients with sports related and occupational conditions. I previously worked in industry and education but decided to make the career change into sports massage due to my life-long interest in health and fitness. I have a love of music and theatre and also enjoy the outdoors and horse riding as well as spending time with my family – not forgetting my lovely Labrador and my horse, Crystal.
